Perfume Bottle Manufacturer

Perfume bottle manufacturer with 200+ catalogued shapes plus custom mould development. Frosting, lacquering, UV printing, screen printing. Zamac, surlyn, wood and metal caps.

The bottle is the first thing a customer touches. Before they experience the fragrance, they experience the weight, the shape, the finish, and the cap. In perfumery, the vessel is not packaging — it is product.

Fragrance & Fashion manufactures and sources perfume bottles and caps from the Gujarat glass and component cluster — one of India's most concentrated manufacturing ecosystems for perfumery components. Our facility in Moriya, Ahmedabad sits within approximately 40 kilometres of glass furnaces, zamac foundries, cap-tooling shops, and decoration units, giving us the supply chain density to deliver custom bottles at competitive timescales.

Our Bottle Catalogue — 200+ Shapes

Our standard catalogue includes over 200 bottle shapes across all common perfume volumes:

Volume Typical Applications
5–10 ml Attars, rollerball samples, travel sizes
15–30 ml Travel perfumes, gift sets, premium miniatures
50 ml Standard EDP and EDT format
100 ml Full-size retail perfumes
150–200 ml Body mists, room sprays, larger formats

Shapes range from classic cylindrical and rectangular forms to sculpted, asymmetric, and branded designs. Every catalogue shape is available with multiple glass types (clear, frosted, coloured), neck finishes (crimp, screw), and pump configurations.

For brands starting out or testing a new SKU, catalogue bottles eliminate tooling costs and reduce lead times. The same bottle can be differentiated through decoration, cap selection, and packaging to create a distinct shelf presence.

Custom Mould Development

For brands that require a unique bottle shape — one that becomes part of the brand identity — we offer custom mould development.

The Process

  1. Concept and brief — share your vision: sketches, 3D renders, reference bottles, or descriptive requirements
  2. Technical drawing — our engineers produce a detailed technical drawing with dimensions, tolerances, wall thickness, and neck specifications
  3. Mould fabrication — the mould is manufactured at a partner glass furnace, typically taking 6 to 9 weeks
  4. First production samples — initial bottles are produced from the new mould for inspection and approval
  5. Refinement — if needed, minor mould adjustments are made before production runs begin
  6. Production — bulk production begins once samples are approved

Timeline and Investment

Custom mould development typically takes 6 to 9 weeks from approved technical drawing to first production samples. The tooling investment depends on complexity — simple shapes with standard necks cost less than complex sculpted forms with unusual closures.

The tooling cost is a one-time investment. The mould belongs to the brand and can be used for all future production runs.

Decoration Techniques

The decoration of a perfume bottle transforms a standard glass vessel into a branded product. We offer a comprehensive range of decoration techniques, performed on-site or through our established partner network within the Gujarat cluster:

Frosting

Frosting creates a translucent, matte surface on clear glass. Two methods are available:

Frosting creates a translucent, matte surface on clear glass, and we offer two primary methods. Acid-etched frosting is a chemical process that produces a fine, even matte finish and serves as the industry standard for luxury perfume bottles. Alternatively, sandblasted frosting uses a mechanical process to produce a slightly coarser texture, which can be applied selectively using masking for partial-frost designs.

Frosted bottles diffuse light and create a premium, tactile quality that clear glass cannot achieve.

Lacquering

Lacquering applies opaque or translucent colour coatings to glass:

Lacquering applies opaque or translucent colour coatings to glass in several styles. Solid colour lacquering provides full-coverage colour in any Pantone shade. Gradient lacquering creates a colour transition from dense to transparent, or between two different shades. We also offer interior lacquering, where colour is applied to the inside of the bottle, remaining visible through clear glass.

Lacquered bottles are oven-cured for durability. Scratch and adhesion testing is performed on every batch.

Metallic Coatings

Metallic finishes — gold, silver, rose gold, chrome, and copper — are applied through vacuum metallisation or electroplating. Available in full-coverage or selective application with masking.

Printing

For precise detailing, we offer several printing options. UV printing allows for full-colour photographic-quality prints directly onto glass, easily reproducing complex artwork, gradients, and photographs. Screen printing provides highly durable and cost-effective single or multi-colour printing for logos, text, and graphic elements. For metallic accents, hot stamping transfers metallic foil for logos and text, available in gold, silver, and custom foil colours.

Combining Techniques

Multiple decoration techniques can be combined on a single bottle. For example: frosted glass with a screen-printed logo and a hot-stamped metallic accent. Our design team advises on the optimal combination for each brand's visual identity and budget.

Cap Materials and Finishes

The cap completes the bottle. It contributes to the weight, the feel, the opening ritual, and the shelf presence. We work with all major cap materials:

Zamac (Zinc Alloy)

Zamac is the industry standard for luxury perfume caps. It is heavy, precisely castable, and accepts a wide range of finishes: polished, brushed, lacquered, and plated (gold, silver, rose gold). Zamac caps provide the satisfying weight and click associated with premium perfumery.

Surlyn

Surlyn is a transparent or coloured polymer that produces clean, modern caps. Available in clear, frosted, and dyed variants. Lighter than zamac, surlyn is ideal for contemporary and minimalist designs.

Wood

Natural wood caps — walnut, oak, bamboo, and custom species — provide an organic, artisanal quality. Available with natural, stained, lacquered, or waxed finishes. Wood caps are popular for niche, artisan, and eco-conscious brands.

Leather

Leather-wrapped caps add a tactile luxury dimension. Available in genuine and vegan leather, in a range of colours and textures. Often combined with a zamac or metal inner structure.

Stone

Marble, onyx, and other stone materials create unique, heavyweight caps. Each cap has natural variation, making every unit subtly unique. Used for ultra-premium and limited-edition lines.

Metal

Aluminium, brass, and stainless steel caps — machined, cast, or fabricated. Available with brushed, polished, anodised, and powder-coated finishes.

Prototype Loops

Cap prototyping at our facility operates on ten-day loops. Click, weight, and texture are tuned at the bench in Moriya until the cap meets the brand's specifications.

Pump, Collar, and Component Sourcing

Beyond the bottle and cap, a finished perfume unit requires several additional components:

Beyond the bottle and cap, a finished perfume unit requires several additional components. This includes pumps, available in crimp or screw-mount styles with varying actuation forces and spray patterns. These are paired with collars—the metallic or plastic rings connecting the pump to the bottle neck—available in matching finishes. We also supply clear or decorative overcaps for display and protection. For non-spray applications, we provide rollerball assemblies for attar and roll-on formats, as well as droppers for concentrated oil products.

All components are sourced from the Gujarat cluster and integrated at our facility during final assembly.

The Gujarat Glass Cluster Advantage

The Gujarat perfumery cluster provides a structural advantage that is difficult to replicate elsewhere:

The Gujarat perfumery cluster provides a structural advantage that is difficult to replicate elsewhere. With glass furnaces located within 40 km, we benefit from short lead times and low logistics costs. Zamac foundries within the same cluster ensure rapid turnaround for cap tooling and casting. Decoration units handling frosting, lacquering, printing, and coating are accessible within hours. Furthermore, this proximity enhances quality control, as our team can visit any supplier in the chain within an hour, catching issues before they compound.

This density means that a bottle can go from mould development to decorated, capped, and boxed product without leaving a 40 km radius — compressing timelines and reducing coordination risk.

For brands looking to integrate bottles into a complete product, our private label programme and packaging manufacturing services cover the full journey from vessel to retail-ready unit.
